EDUCATION

Aerospace engineering

This degree allows you to become an engineer for the aerospace industry in the following specializations: aerospace design and manufacture, avionics and control, and product development and systems integration.

Polytechnique Montréal

Polytechnique Montreal is the only university in Quebec offering a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering degree.

Program details:

– At least one four-month paid compulsory internship.
– An integrative project each year and a large-scale final project, for 6 credits, providing graduates with a solid background in engineering design.
– Specialty courses starting the first year,
– Emphasized mentoring from the start of studies.
– Credited training aimed at mastery of verbal/written communication and teamwork.
– A mechanism for ongoing quality management of the program.
– Opportunities to study abroad.

his program has been accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB) and provides access to the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec for all our programs.

École de technologie supérieure

Inter-University Master of Aerospace Engineering

This program offered jointly by six Quebec universities (Concordia, École de technologie supérieure, École polytechnique, Laval, McGill and Sherbrooke) in cooperation with a number of Quebec-based aerospace companies, seeks to train highly qualified engineers in the fields of aeronautics and space technologies. The program’s two general objectives are to enable students to:

acquire the additional know-how needed for the analysis, design, manufacture, implementation and control of systems specific to the aerospace field;
and familiarize themselves with the methodological approaches specific to aerospace engineering

Université Concordia

Students can specialize in the following areas: Aeronautics and Propulsion, Avionics and Control, Structures and Materials, and Space Engineering.

Université Laval

This program has a limited capacity.

Université de Sherbrooke

Sherbrooke: admission for the Fall, Winter and Summer quarters.

École de technologie supérieure

The program is offered on a full-time or part-time basis, in continuing education. To that end, activities are offered in Fall, Winter and Summer sessions.

McGill

The Faculty of Engineering at McGill University has identified aerospace as a strategic education and research focus. Approximately 40 professors within the Faculty have research programs that are related to aerospace, covering a wide range of topics, from aeronautics to manufacturing.
