Upholsterers

A comfortable future!

CFP des Moulins students

In any form of transportation, from cars to airplanes, the longer the trip the more important passenger and pilot comfort becomes. Upholsterers play a critical role in this regard. To maximize our travel pleasure, these experts in fabrics and other covering materials work on aircraft seats, curtains, luggage nets, floor covering, closets and luggage compartments. They are not only good with their hands when it comes to using upholstery sewing machines, but they are also talented designers!

Education requirements

If you want to become an upholsterer, a high school diploma is usually required. You’ll also need college or specialized training (upholsterer apprenticeship program) and several years of on-the-job training.
