At Aéro Montréal, we are committed to protecting your personal information. Therefore, when we collect, use or disclose personal information about our customers or users, these practices are governed by this policy. Our policy has been developed in compliance with the laws of Québec and Canadian laws on the protection of privacy and personal information.

This policy applies to any Platform, as defined in our Terms and Conditions of Use. To reflect changes in our services, technological advances and developments of a legal nature, this Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time without notice. We may add, change or withdraw portions of the privacy policy when we believe these changes are appropriate. We encourage you to periodically review our privacy policy. After each update of the privacy policy, we will change the update date to indicate when changes have been made.

What personal information do we collect?

Personal Information (or “Personal data” or “Data of a personal nature”) – refers to any information about an identified or identifiable physical individual.

At any time, you may refuse to provide your personal information or withdraw your consent. However, without such information, we may not be able to provide you with the requested product or service, manage your account or provide you with the requested information.

We collect your personal information in the following situations:
• when you sign up for the websites;
• when you provide documents or items to be sent to potential employers;
• to carry out a sales transaction for products and services;
• to bill you and collect payment;
• to know your geographic location for purposes of billing and payment;
• to identify you;
• to limit the possibility of fraud when we process your transactions;
• for customer service, including answering your questions about your account;
• for other reasons as described in this privacy policy;
• for other reasons demanded or required by law.

The information we collect for these purposes includes:

– To make a transaction: the products purchased, the method of payment, the amount paid, the credit card details used, your geographical location and your IP address for tax purposes, postal code;
– When you sign up for websites, we may collect some of the personal information you provide such as your name, address or telephone number, email address or your password. We may also collect your personal information when you provide us with
information, documents or items to be sent to potential employers;
– Your calls to our customer service department may be recorded for training purposes and to ensure quality service.

How do we obtain your consent for the collection of your personal data?

When you provide us with personal information, such as to sign up for the websites, to provide documents or items to be sent to prospective employers, to complete a transaction or place an order for products or services, we assume your consent for the collection and use of your personal data in accordance with the terms of this policy.

Collection of information on the Platforms

To purchase products or services and use certain aspects or special features of our Platforms, you must provide your personal information, including your name, email address, mailing address, telephone number, email address, username, password or payment information, if applicable.

Non-personal information – non-personal information does not identify you as an individual person. The personal information that Aéro Montréal collects or uses when you use the Platform does not include collective information (data relating to a group or a category of products, services or customers from which the identity of individual customers has been removed). For example, information about how you use a product or service can be collected and combined with information about how other people use the same product or service, but no personal information is part of the final data. Similarly, information about the products you have purchased can be collected and combined with information about products purchased by other people.

Aéro Montréal may also collect collective information on how its customers use the Platform. Collective information about product purchases helps us to understand customer trends and needs, and to launch new products. This information can also be used to determine the geographic location of our clientele.

When using the Platform, we reserve the right to collect certain non-personal data such as your Internet protocol (IP) address, Internet service provider (ISP) address, the date and time you accessed the Platform, the Internet address of the website that linked you to our site, theoperating system you are using, and the content you downloaded from the website. This information is aggregated and stored in an anonymous, depersonalized form that does notidentify you and is used for website, statistical and system administration purposes and for their improvement.

Aéro Montréal may collect technical information about your IP address, browser type, the addresses of the sites that referred you and your path to its site.

Does Aéro Montréal share your information?

Aéro Montréal shares personal information under the cover of confidentiality with potential thirdparty employers who have retained our services to assist them in identifying potential candidates for staffing positions. These potential employers are not authorized to use or disclose this information for any purpose other than to evaluate your application for a specific job.

In the normal course of business, we may share your personal information as needed within our organization, with our affiliates and with third parties (such as agents, representatives, service providers) who act on your behalf, or as required by law. Aéro Montréal may also disclose personal information to third parties in connection with the sale, divestment or other transfer of its business, in which case it would require that such third parties sign a confidentiality agreement and comply with the terms and conditions of this policy.

When we hire third-party service providers, this may be for technical or administrative tasks, for processing and storing data, for sending advertising to people who request it, for online payment or for hosting and administering one or several of our sites. The personal information that the service providers receive is limited to the personal information they need to provide the services. Aéro Montréal first asks the companies that receive the personal information to sign an agreement that obliges them to keep the information confidential and secure and prohibits them from using it for unauthorized purposes.

Aéro Montréal may engage service providers to provide cloud computing services. Cloud computing provides services based on networks located on remote computers that allow people and businesses to use software and materiel operated by third parties, including file storage, emails and online business applications. The service providers have policies and processes in place to ensure that the confidentiality of the information under their protection is properly safeguarded at all times. As of the Policy date, cloud computing service providers are processing and storing data information in Canada. However, the storage location could change.

If the service providers offer services from other countries, your personal information may be processed and stored in these countries, and governments, law courts, regulatory or law enforcement agencies in these countries could obtain communication of your personal information by legal order.

Aéro Montréal has taken precautions to prevent fraud regarding the use of your information on our website.

Legal Disclosure – Aéro Montréal may disclose your information as permitted or required by law. For example, a court of law or another person or entity with jurisdiction could require us to produce such information. If we have valid reasons to believe that the information could be used in an investigation of illegal or inappropriate activities, we will disclose the information to the police or other law enforcement agencies or other appropriate investigative entities.

How does Aéro Montréal protect your information?

The file containing your personal information will be kept on our servers and may only be accessed by our employees and those of our authorized agents, representatives and service providers who need them in the course of their duties or functions. Aéro Montréal takes the necessary measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access. We maintain appropriate backups and current security standards to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure or use. For example, electronic records are kept on restricted access secure servers; the electronic data is stored in an encrypted file system; we use technical tools such as firewalls and passwords and verify that our employees are trained on the importance of maintaining the security and confidentiality of personal information.

SSL Protocol – Our Platform uses encryption technology, such as a secure sockets layer (“SSL” or “TLS”), to protect your personal information during data transfer.

Aéro Montréal will never send you unsolicited communications in which it asks you to update your identity.

While we cannot assume any responsibility for theft, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, loss, alteration or destruction of data in the hands of any third party, we take reasonable steps to prevent these situations. Despite our diligence, no system is 100% infallible and it is with knowledge of this fact that you choose to give us this information.

How can we access your information?

You may request access to your personal information at any time by contacting us in writing at the contact information below. Except for certain statutory provisions, and if we can authenticate your identity, you will have reasonable access to your personal information, and you will have the ability to verify the accuracy of your information to see whether it is complete, and to request that it be amended as needed. You also have the right to object for legitimate reasons to the handling of your personal data by Aéro Montréal.

When will your data be erased?

We keep your information for the time necessary for legitimate business. We will destroy your information when it is no longer needed.

External links

The websites contain links to websites administered and held by others, including social networks (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.). Aéro Montréal has no control over these external sites. Links to external sites are offered for reference and in no instance can they be interpreted as an approval or endorsement of their content by Aéro Montréal. Aéro Montréal does not exercise any control over the sites of these third parties and how they collect, use, communicate or otherwise handle personal information. In addition, Aéro Montréal is not responsible for any losses or damages that may result from your use of the external sites. Therefore, you are advised to review the terms of use and the privacy policy of an external site before using it.

Other considerations

Please note that all the information that you may share in the public sections of the websites (such as a forum, Facebook page, blog, comments section) will become public. As a result, this information will not be subject to the Policy. Instead, it will be considered information that you have chosen to disclose. So be careful when you decide to disclose your personal information. At any time, you are responsible for the content you post, transmit or disclose on the websites and for what you disclose to any other person using the websites. Aéro Montréal shall not be held liable for any information that you, or any other user, posts in connection with the use of the website or features.
