Subsidized Programs - AéroPortail

4.0 skills

The MACH FAB 4.0 Initiative is based on Aéro Montréal’s MACH Initiative, in partnership with AéroÉTS, Cefrio, STIQ and the MEI. It proposes a new approach to improving the competitiveness of SMEs. MACH FAB 4.0 is a customized support measure designed for SMEs. Ultimately, it aims to promote the implementation of digital technologies and advanced manufacturing within participating SMEs.

Innovation Program (Part 1)

Investissement Québec administers this program as an agent of the Québec government. It supports companies that have an innovation project (e.g. digital transformation). For each project, the financial assistance granted to applicants takes the form of a non-repayable contribution.

SME in Action Program, support for the implementation of investment projects

This program supports the realization of investment projects (feasibility study e.g. for a digital transformation). The financial assistance granted to the applicant takes the form of a non-repayable contribution of up to 40% of the eligible project expenses, to a maximum of $100,000 per project.

SME in Action Program, support for SME productivity

This component aims to increase the level of productivity of Québec businesses in order to enhance competitiveness and accelerate business growth (e.g. implementation of a digital transformation project). The financial assistance granted to the applicant takes the form of a non-repayable contribution of up to 40% of eligible project expenses, to a maximum of $50,000 per project.

Tax credit for investment and innovation (C3i)

C3i replaces the investment tax credit and will allow small and large businesses to deduct 10%, 15% or 20% of their expenses for the acquisition of manufacturing and processing equipment, computer equipment and business software. C3i will thus help accelerate the digital shift of Québec companies and optimize their business models.

ESSOR Program

The ESSOR program is designed to support investment projects carried out in Québec with a view to increasing competitiveness and productivity, creating jobs and promoting sustainable development. It supports businesses, particularly those in the manufacturing sector, in innovative investment projects (e.g., robotization, digitization, purchase of new machinery to enable businesses to modernize, etc.).

Productivity and the digital shift

This is a contribution to help companies in the Québec City agglomeration in the acquisition, integration and deployment of technologies, including digital technologies, aimed at improving productivity. The project must be carried out within the framework of a structured organizational strategic plan aimed at growth and improved profitability.

Manufacturiers et Exportateurs du Québec (MEQ), Investissement Québec (IQ) and the Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ) are jointly leading the FEMMES 4.0 project aimed at attracting, developing and retaining more women in Québec’s manufacturing industry by launching initiatives that promote careers, provide sharing and development opportunities for workers and leaders, and highlight individual and collective successes to effect a culture change in the industry.

NGen Project

Led by Canada’s advanced manufacturing super cluster, the NGen Project brings together the world of manufacturing and technology to find solutions to the challenges of digital transformation. By the end of March 2023, NGen will invest $192 million in industry-led collaborative projects.

Invest-AI is a division of IVADO Labs whose mission is to help Québec companies, particularly SMEs, to increase their performance by integrating and applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques in their processes. In addition to the consulting services it offers, Invest-AI manages a $35 million co-investment program aimed at helping these companies make the transition to AI. This investment program is intended to be a powerful lever to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies within Québec companies so that they can contribute even more to Québec’s socio-economic growth.

By investing money and other valuable resources in companies as Canada’s AI supercluster, SCALE AI is helping to position Canada as a leader in intelligent supply chains. SCALE AI reimburses up to 50% of expenses for approved projects that target the adoption or commercialization of AI for supply chains.
